Marie Kondo Inspired but still can't be f***ed?! Check this out!

So - Who here has been Marie Kondo inspired in the last few months? I know I have. The urge afterwards to follow all the gram cleaning bloggers and gawk at their amazing clean and clutter free houses was real. I may or may not have spent the hours I "could” have been cleaning, watching people clean.. #stillstalkingjustanothermummyblog

Tidying up has never been so popular.. But, I must say, even with Marie’s epic gratitude skills and amazing before and afters - It still was not quite enough to make me wanna jump in and “tidy” up my house straight away. I mean, that shit is overwhelming. I have no idea how to make organised systems for a home - My brain is creative, not logical! Plus, what’s the point in putting in so much effort and exerting yourself like that when you have two little dirt bags running around the house trashing it with half eaten apples and 27 kilos of popcorn straight after you’re done? My efforts would be totally futile.

So after much stalking, dreaming and praying to the gods for my beautiful little cherubs to tidy up after themselves - I realised there is no hope for me to Marie Kondo my house alone. Admitted defeat, if you will. I knew if I tried, it would turn to poo within a week. I am just too busy, and my kids are just too feral for life. I needed someone to do it for me and the biggest reason, I needed someone to give me a system to work to, so it was easy and I could maintain it because if I did that myself, I know it wouldn’t be easily maintained. SO - I called the one and only gal in the Barossa that knew exactly what I needed and EXACTLY HOW TO DO IT!

As you all may have seen on instagram a few weeks (maybe months?) ago - I started with the area in my home that I use every day and was just cluttered and honestly, messy as hell and I HAD A PANTRY EDIT BY SWIK INTERIORS! WOOO!

It was seriously the bomb. For a mum who has two kids, a business and no time to even shave her pits half the time - This. Was. The. Best. Thing. That. Ever. Happened. To. My. Home! (Can’t say Me, or the kids and huz would be offended af). We use our pantry every day, we wash dishes in there, we get our food from there and most importantly, make coffee in that room! Having a cluttered space like that, after seeing all of those instagram pantries, was driving me insane. I felt like my life was just as messy as my pantry so I had to do something about it!

Libby is an interior designer with the skillllllllls for organising! She came over for a consult, worked with me so she could better understand how I used my pantry and get this - SHE DID EVERYTHING FOR ME. I literally did not have to lift a finger.. That is my kind of service! She designed the space, measured it up, ordered the products, she went out and shopped for the items to fit my exact space, WASHED IT ALL, labelled everything and came back and did a complete overhaul of the space. She took out the old, replaced it with the new, filled the new containers and even cleaned up afterwards. It was nothing short of freaking ah-mazing!

Libby (AKA Barossa’s own Marie Kondo) is the most down to earth, genuine business mama and she is truly amazing at what she does!
