Inspiring Women in the Barossa Valley | Em's Cookie Jar (Emma Cook)
So - I wrote this a week or so ago with intentions to share, but I just got too busy and never got around to it. But I knew it was for a reason - With today being International day of the Woman, what better post to share with you all, than a post about a beautiful, courageous and inspiring business woman!
I want to introduce to you - My blog post about the AMAZING “Em’s Cookie Jar Cafe” in Freeling. Owned by Emma Cook.

I sit here this morning, typing up this blog, with a coffee in hand, the kids playing to my side - in Em’s Cookie Jar. A place filled with beautiful people, insanely good coffee and the most amazing food!
This is the place I come to fill up my joy cup. It is the place I send a lot of my clients to as part of their experience with me as well!
Since my move to the Barossa I have developed a huge passion with working with local businesses - Especially other women in business. I feel like most of the time - We just get each other, and it is a wonderful thing. Em' was one of the first connections I made and she’s since become a wonderful friend. Emma, the woman behind the brand and cafe - Is absolutely brilliant. A mum, wife and talented creator started out with a cookie business, her brand developed over time into what it is today. Em is so clever, in so many ways - Her new and innovative ideas and food creations always inspire me. This chick is seriously talented!
I love working with and being inspired by other like-minded women - It is a huge reason why I love and advocate for the group SA WOMAN - A community that both Emma and I are a part of. Isn’t it wonderful when women in businesses can help to raise each other up!
Getting into the details - Emma’s cafe is light, bright and airy with a gorgeous , calming feel to it. Her mural wall is a serious statement piece in the cafe encompassing just a little of what Em has to offer her customers.
We love bringing the kids here - With a space for them to sit and play we always are made to feel welcome - The second room to the cafe is pretty great to to lock them in away from the front door! Plus, with a conveniently located park across the road, there is something for every family (Especially if you have an outdoors baby like I do)
So - Take a look at the pictures below and if you haven’t been here to give it a go - I can highly recommend the Spring Chicken Salad and the Hot Mint Chocolates.. But in-fact, I am yet to try something that isn’t beyond incredible here!!!!
Go check it out and report back on how much you LOVE IT!
